Chemistry Series
These hands-on investigations provide a comprehensive introduction to college chemistry. They cover introductory concepts; atoms, molecules, and stoichiometry; properties of matter and solutions; kinetics, pH, and equilibria; thermodynamics and oxidation reduction chemistry; and organic and biochemistry. Each investigation has learning outcomes for students to master, such as determine the accuracy of measurements with standard glassware; apply valence shell electron pair repulsion theory (VSEPR) to predict molecular geometry; use the ideal gas law to determine the number of moles of gas generated in a reaction; and many, many more. All Chemistry Series kits include a Chemistry Starter Pack that contains common laboratory and safety equipment used throughout the investigations. Chemical Set #1, Chemical Set #2, and/or the Modeling Kit may also be included depending on the investigations you select.
